Frequently asked questions

What will my new smile look like?

This often is the first question our patients ask. But you do not have to wait until the end of your treatment to see how beautiful your smile will be. Dr. Falco can show you many successful smile makeovers already completed for guests who once asked the same question. To be more assured once you have chosen your smile makeover, Dr. Falco will have you do a “test drive” of your new smile design in your own mouth prior to treatment. Although the test drive only lasts for a short period of time, it is a great way to build your confidence about your new look and put your fears to rest.

Will my smile “fit” me?

Just like you, your smile is unique. We take great care in designing a smile that complements you. We take a series of facial measurements to help us create a smile that is in proportion to your facial structure, age and gender. We also want your smile to match your complexion. Your smile will be designed to enhance your appearance and look completely natural.

Can I permanently remove the dark colored surfaces on my crowns and fillings?

All the techniques Dr. Falco uses to restore your smile’s beauty are carried out to eliminate unsightly discolorations and to enable you to successfully maintain a beautiful smile.

Do my teeth have to be ground down a lot?

In many cases, conservative tooth reduction can be achieved in the transformation of a smile. Existing crowns, large fillings, or decayed teeth cannot usually be treated as conservatively because their health issues must be addressed in order for the beautiful new smile to be its absolute best.

How will my teeth look as I transition into my new smile?

The goal of all smile makeovers is to make a dynamic change very rapidly, replacing crooked, discolored or unappealing teeth with a beautiful smile. Careful planning and management of your smile design can help remove any fears you might have about this process.

Will I have any pain associated with these procedures?

Mild discomfort can normally be expected with most smile enhancement procedures. The pain is very manageable and temporary in nature. When tooth or jaw discomfort is noted before treatment, it may be necessary to alleviate discomfort before starting the actual work.
